HOPE Circles
STRENGTHENING THE BODY OF CHRIST IN OUR CITIES AND NEIGHBORHOODS
“They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and
to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” —Acts 2:42
What is a HOPE Circle?
A HOPE Circle is a small group of believers—pastors, professionals, and neighbors—who meet at least 2-3 times a year to pray, unify, love, and celebrate how God is working in their spaces.
Why Join a HOPE Circle?
Prayer: Seek God together for your school, workplace, neighborhood, or profession.
Love: Build rich, life-giving relationships and encourage one another.
Unity: Learn from others in your field by discovering how God is moving through others.
Shine: Share testimonies, break bread, and celebrate what God is doing.
How to Start a HOPE Circle
Invite one or two others to help facilitate.
Decide how often you will meet (at least 2-3 times a year).
Coordinate a time and place—home, work, a coffee shop, or church.
Spread the word and invite others in your profession or community.
-
Invite Others
Invite someone in your profession or your neighborhood to participate.
Who are at least 2-3 other Christians that have shared experiences–who do the same kind of work or who live in the same neighborhood?
-
Read the Bible
Studying the Bible together helps us connect with one another and see our lives and situations through God’s eyes.
What can we learn from God about how to bring hope and unity into our places of service and our spheres of influence?
-
Pray Together
Experience God together in prayer. It helps us see God, one another, and those in our workplaces and communities who are struggling or lacking peace and direction. Together, we bring our concerns and challenges to our Father in prayer, seeking His will to be done through us in their lives.
What is God saying about the challenges we see that burden His heart?
-
Love Well
Take the time to strengthen one another and to also identify and support others who are transforming lives.
What can we do to support one another and to serve those who need us more effectively?
-
Celebrate Wins
Share stories about the great things God has done. Celebrate the victories of others as if they were your own. Share a meal together with your spouses or families.
What is a meaningful way that we could support and celebrate one another?
